Previously he was the Head of Governmental Program JPP “Kurk Lietuvai” and worked as an expert on improving investment climate at “Invest Lithuania”. Paulius has graduated high school in the U.S. and later acquired a double major degree (B.A.) in Economics and Political Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago. During his student years, Paulius co-founded the Lithuanian Student Association of North America and presided over it until his graduation. Also, for over two years, Paulius was Managing Director at the Lithuanian American Council – an organization with the task of advocating the interests of the Lithuanian-American community to the United States government.

Michael Morgenstern is Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Lithuania, Vilnius. He was Deputy Head of OSCE Division in Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, Head of Economic Affairs in Saudi-Arabia, Deputy Consul General in Poland, Head of Cultural Affairs, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Rasa Noreikienė, former Representative of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania in Kaunas Country, started her responsibilities as Vice-Minister of Economy in 2013. At the
Ministry of Economy Rasa Noreikienė is in charge of European Union affairs, companies’ law, insolvency, state-owned enterprises, human resources and procurement policy. From 2006 to 2009 Rasa Noreikienė worked as Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania.
Christian Blobner
Head of Fraunhofer IFF EU-Office, Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF
In 2006 he started working for the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF as a project manager in the Logistics and Factory Systems business unit. There he was responsible for the acquisition and management of international projects of the business unit in various EU-funding programs. He coordinated the international activities of the Life+ Project “Best4VarioUse” and managed the FP7 ICT project “EURASIAPAC”. In Asia he was, furthermore, involved in activities of EuropeAid’s “EMIT-CSR Malaysia” and “EMPASIA”. One of his main topics of work is the security research. He managed the Fraunhofer IFF’s involvement in the FP7 SEC project “STRAW” (CSA, FP7-218132) and coordinated the FP7 SEC project “VALUESEC” (CP, FP7-261742). Mr. Blobner currently heads the Fraunhofer IFF EU-Office, were he is responsible for coordinating the Fraunhofer IFF’s activities in the European research programs, especially in Horizon 2020, as well as the international business development activities of the Fraunhofer IFF.

Dr. Gintaras Rimša is the Chairman of the Board of the mechanical engineering and manufacturing company Baltec CNC Technologies JSC. Today the firm has grown into a modern, hi-tech company, uniting personnel of 110 qualified employees in total.

Since 2011 Mr. Thomas Madsen has helped customers improve and simplify their Database infrastructure through adoption of the SAP HANA In-memory Platform. As Lead Enterprise Architect he has in the past 2 years helped customers transform their SAP landscape, readying the IT infrastructure for digital transformation initiatives. SAP is the leading business software vendor and since 2011 an innovation company for in-memory database technologies. Most recently through the launch of the latest generation of enterprise business software S/4HANA running fully in memory and supported by cloud based business network solutions.

Raimundas Slavinskas is the owner and CEO of the engineering company Aedilis JSC. Passionate about new industrial technologies and robotics, leading Aedilis’ R&D team within IoT solutions for industrial applications.
Prof. Dr. Volker Wittpahl
Director of the Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) within VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH (VDI/VDE-IT)
After studying Microelectronics in Germany and Singapore, Volker Wittpahl gained industrial work experience within the Philips corporate group in the area of Technology Marketing as well as Innovation Management for the automotive supplier market. By an internal move to Philips Design in Eindhoven (NL), he became one of the responsible persons within the corporate owned interdisciplinary Think Tank. By monitoring the trends of technology, markets and social-cultural changes, he created concepts for new products, new services and new business areas for internal and external clients from industry.
2014 he started a Professorship at the Klaipėda University (LT), where he is initiating German-Baltic projects on Technology and Knowledge Transfer. Since January 2016, Prof. Dr. Wittpahl is managing Director of the Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit).
